Fotograf Festival is for the first time offering up to six artists from the public to exhibit their works as part of the festival program. Become a part of the exhibition program of Fotograf Festival – an annual event presenting renowned contemporary artists.
This year, Fotograf Festival, subtitled Hypertension23, aims to find a new identity of the human being abstracted by digital space. We want to contemplate how technologies form and change us, how they teach us to reconsider our understanding of the self and humanity. The theme of our call are AI-generated photographs, a fascinating field which interlinks art and technology. We are also looking for photographs or a series of photographs which are inspired by this year’s Fotograf Festival theme.
As a participant of the Open Call, you have the opportunity to present photographs created with the creative process of artificial intelligence. The generated pictures will be a part of a group exhibition seen by hundreds of passersby in the underpass of the metro B station at Wenceslas Square. The audience will have an opportunity to see photographs generated by artificial intelligence not only as an exploration of new creative possibilities, but also as an opportunity to critically reflect how this technology is forming our society and the creative expression of individuals. Your participation in this exhibition can be a step towards the opening of a discussion of these important questions.
Four to six selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their works as part of the Fotograf Festival exhibition Silent Echoes & Subtle Visions showcases in the underpass of metro B station Můstek in Prague for two months.
