An Office group presents another chapter of the site-specific project “Dead Dove: Do Not Eat”, which was developed in Kassel (Germany) and to be continued in Bucharest (Romania). Within this project, the collective functions as a spatial intervention team, occupying places where the events take place, inviting people to participate in experiencing the particular place and its functions. Subverting and appropriating the capitalist and colonial institution of the office, the collective will establish a hybrid and adaptable office department in the Jelení Gallery, addressing the issues of belonging and not belonging, and exploring the ways of inhabiting more or less hostile environments.
An Office group consists of artists, activists, researchers, writers, designers, and curators who met during the ruangrupa collective course “becoming lumbung”. Under the name an Office, they continue to connect practices, research, and learning through process-based forms of collaboration.
