Kafka’s head decomposed into many shiny parts will be the starting point of a performative walk revealing different layers of viewing public space. Let’s delve into the world of contrasts of non-places with places that are subtly conceived and have rather straightforward goals related to profit maximization. What do these places tell us? And how do they make us feel? The headphones of the guide set help us to focus our attention on how the privately owned public space of the so-called POPS speaks to us.
Markéta Kinterová is the author of Where There’s Eyes, There’s a Head, in which she explores the visual overwhelm of cities. Through a performative audio walk, she will guide participants through nearby burning places such as the shopping mall, where public and private interests tangibly collide.
The event is held in collaboration with Architecture Day 2023.
Duration: 45 min.
Reservations will be required due to the availability of the guide’s headset.
Information on how to book is forthcoming.
